using Prisma with nextjs

I have deployed my nextjs app, but cannot run "npx prisma migrate dev" to connect to the postgres DB. Please help

Hi,

I think npx is part of the dev dependencies and removed from the container before the build is sent to the app. You can run this command inside the package.json file or include npx inside the production build (if this package allows it).

I added prisma to the dependencies and added "npx prisma migrate deploy" to build script.
however the DB is not reachable or shuts down when I run build.
Here's my error

Hi there,

Builds are processed on an isolated infrastructure, your database is not reachable during the build sequence. You should use env variables to connect to your database and remove the database connection during the build sequence as this will automatically fails.
